Learn how to log in, create an account, and recover your password in Mosic

This guide covers how to access Mosic through login, create a new account, and recover your password.

Logging In

Accessing the Login Page

The Mosic login page is your entry point to the application. You’ll see the Mosic logo and “Sign in to your account” heading.

Login Form

The login form has two required fields:

How to Log In

  1. Navigate to the login page in your web browser

  2. Enter your email address or username

    • Click in the Email field
    • Type your registered email address (e.g., name@company.com)
    • The system validates your email format as you type
    • You’ll see an error message if the email format is invalid
  3. Enter your password

    • Click in the Password field
    • Type your password (it will appear as dots for security)
    • The password field uses placeholder ••••••••
  4. Click the “Sign in” button

    • The button is located below the password field
    • While logging in, the button shows “Signing in…” with a loading spinner
    • You cannot click the button again while login is in progress

After Successful Login

After successful authentication, Mosic:

  1. Shows a loading overlay with progress indicators
  2. Fetches your workspace data and preferences
  3. Redirects you to the Today page by default (or your last requested page)
  4. Connects real-time updates via WebSocket

Login Validation and Errors

The login form provides real-time validation:

Email/Username Validation:

  • Validates email format as you type
  • Shows error: “Please enter a valid email address” for invalid formats
  • Shows error: “Email or username is required” if left empty

Password Validation:

  • Required field
  • Must not be empty

Authentication Errors:

  • Invalid credentials show an error message below the button
  • Connection issues display appropriate error messages
  • All errors are cleared when you retry

Password Recovery

If you can’t remember your password, use the multi-step password recovery feature.

How to Reset Your Password

  1. Access password recovery

    • Click the “Forgot password?” link below the password field
    • You’ll be directed to the password recovery page
  2. Enter your email address

    • Type the email address associated with your account
    • Click the submit button
    • The system sends a verification code (OTP) to your email
  3. Verify your identity

    • Check your email for the verification code
    • Enter the OTP code in the verification form
    • The code has an expiration time displayed on the form
    • You can request a new code if it expires
  4. Set new password

    • After verification, enter your new password
    • Confirm the password by entering it again
    • Click submit to complete the password reset
  5. Return to login

    • After successful password reset, you’ll see a success message
    • Click “Go to Login” to return to the login page
    • Log in with your new password
  • From email entry step: Click “Back” to return to the login page
  • From verification step: Click “Back” to return to email entry
  • From password reset step: Click “Back” to return to verification

Creating a New Account

New to Mosic? You can create an account through a comprehensive signup process.

How to Sign Up

  1. Access the signup page

    • Click the “Sign up” link at the bottom of the login form
    • The link reads: “Don’t have an account yet? Sign up”
  2. Fill in the signup form

    The signup form requires:

    • Full name - Your display name
    • Email address - Your email (used for login)
    • Terms and Conditions - Checkbox to accept terms (required)

    The system automatically captures:

    • Your browser language preference
    • Your timezone for calendar features
  3. Submit the signup form

    • Click “Create account” button
    • While processing, the button shows a loading spinner
    • The button is disabled during submission
  4. Verify your email

    • After submission, you’ll see a verification screen
    • Check your email for the verification code (OTP)
    • The code has an expiration time
    • Enter the code to verify your email address
  5. Complete profile setup

    • After verification, set up your profile:
      • Upload profile image (optional)
      • Choose account type (Individual or Company)
      • Enter company name (if applicable)
      • Create your password
    • The system suggests workspace and space names
  6. Select a plan

    • Choose between Monthly or Yearly billing
    • Select the plan that fits your needs
    • Review plan features and pricing
  7. Set up your workspace

    • Enter workspace name (pre-filled with suggestion)
    • Enter initial space name (pre-filled with suggestion)
    • Customize workspace icon and color (optional)
  8. Welcome to Mosic

    • See a welcome screen with your account details
    • Click continue to be automatically logged in
    • You’re redirected to your Today page

Invitation-Based Signup

If you received a workspace invitation:

  • The signup link includes an invitation code
  • Your email is pre-filled and read-only
  • The signup process is streamlined
  • You skip plan selection (use the workspace’s existing plan)
  • You’re automatically added to the inviting workspace

Signup Navigation

At each step, you can:

  • Navigate back to previous steps using “Back” buttons
  • Return to login page from the initial signup form
  • The signup form resets when you leave the page

Logging Out

To log out of Mosic:

  1. Open the user menu

    • Click your avatar at the bottom-left of the sidebar
    • The user dropdown menu appears
  2. Click “Log out”

    • Select the “Log out” option from the menu
    • Mosic shows a “Signing Out” overlay
    • Your session data is cleaned up
    • You’re redirected to the login page

Important: Always log out when using shared or public computers to protect your account security.

Security Best Practices

Password Guidelines

  • Strength: Use a strong, unique password for Mosic
  • Privacy: Never share your password with others
  • Management: Consider using a password manager for secure storage
  • Updates: Change your password periodically, especially if you suspect unauthorized access

Account Security

  • Shared Computers: Always log out when using shared or public computers
  • Browser Security: Don’t save passwords in browsers on shared devices
  • Email Security: Keep your email account secure - it’s used for password recovery and verification
  • Verification: Complete email verification during signup to secure your account
  • Session Security: If you see unusual activity, log out immediately and reset your password

Email Validation

Mosic validates email addresses to ensure:

  • Correct format (user@domain.extension)
  • Valid domain structure
  • Protection against typos during signup
  • Proper delivery of verification and notification emails

Troubleshooting

Can’t Log In with Correct Credentials

Possible Solutions:

  1. Verify Caps Lock is not enabled (passwords are case-sensitive)
  2. Check you’re using the correct email address or username
  3. Look for error messages below the password field
  4. Try the “Forgot password?” link to reset your password
  5. Clear your browser cache and cookies
  6. Try a different browser or incognito/private mode
  7. Check your internet connection

Not Receiving Verification or Password Reset Email

Possible Solutions:

  1. Check your spam/junk folder - emails may be filtered
  2. Verify you entered the correct email address
  3. Wait a few minutes - email delivery can be delayed
  4. Request a new verification code if the old one expired
  5. Add Mosic’s sending address to your safe senders list
  6. Contact your IT administrator if emails are blocked by corporate filters

Signup Form Shows an Error

Possible Solutions:

  1. Ensure all required fields are filled (marked with asterisks)
  2. Check that your email format is correct (must include @ and domain)
  3. Verify you checked the Terms and Conditions checkbox
  4. Try a different email address if yours is already registered
  5. Disable browser extensions that might interfere with forms
  6. Try a different browser

Login Validation Errors

“Please enter a valid email address”:

  • Check email format includes @ symbol and domain
  • Ensure no spaces before or after the email

“Email or username is required”:

  • The email field cannot be empty
  • Enter a valid email

Session or Loading Issues

Stuck on loading screen:

  1. Wait 10-15 seconds - initial data fetching takes time
  2. Check your internet connection
  3. Refresh the browser page
  4. Clear browser cache and try again
  5. Check browser console for errors (F12 key)

Automatically logged out:

  • Sessions expire for security
  • Log in again to continue working
  • Your work is saved automatically
