FAQ
Q: What determines which tasks appear on Today page?
A: The Today page shows tasks that meet any of these criteria for the selected date:
- Tasks with start dates on or before the selected date (not completed)
- Tasks with due dates on or before the selected date and no start date (not completed)
- Tasks specifically due on the selected date (not completed)
- Tasks completed on the selected date (shown in Done section)
Q: Can I see multiple days at once?
A: Yes, use the Upcoming page in Due view to see tasks across multiple days in a horizontal timeline. The Today page focuses on a single day but shows the calendar timeline for context.
Q: How far ahead does Upcoming show?
A: The Upcoming Due view displays approximately 41 days (10 days before today through 30 days after). You can scroll horizontally or use the date picker to view additional dates.
Q: What’s the difference between Today and Upcoming?
A: The Today page focuses on a single day (today or any selected date) with To Do and Done sections. The Upcoming page provides a broader view of future tasks across multiple days in timeline or list format.
Q: Why is my time estimate showing a large total like “48h” for only 10 tasks?
A: This is the total estimated time for all displayed tasks. Some individual tasks may have large estimates (e.g., “40h”), which significantly increase the total.
Q: How do I resize the task list panel on Today page?
A: Hover over the right edge of the task list panel until you see the resize cursor, then click and drag to adjust the width. Your preference is saved automatically.
Q: What happens when I complete a task on Today page?
A: When you mark a task as complete, it automatically moves from the To Do section to the Done section. The Done section can be collapsed to keep your focus on remaining work.
Q: Can I filter tasks on the Upcoming page?
A: Filtering capabilities on the Upcoming page were not specified in the implementation. Use the Today page filter for status and priority filtering.
Q: What does the “Focus” indicator mean in time estimates?
A: The Focus indicator appears with time estimates but its specific functionality would need to be verified in the task management documentation.
