Published: April 17, 2026

Manage Your Inbox

The Inbox holds tasks assigned to you that don’t have a start date or due date set. Use this guide to review, filter, and schedule tasks from your Inbox so they move to your Today or Upcoming page.

Access the Inbox

Click Inbox in the left sidebar. The sidebar shows a task count badge next to the label.

Inbox Page Layout

The Inbox page has two panels:

Left panel: Task list

  • Quick add field at the top
  • Task filter button (Status and Priority)
  • Total time estimate display
  • Task count badge
  • Resize handle on the right edge — drag to adjust panel width
  • Empty state message when there are no tasks

Right panel: Weekly calendar

  • Calendar timeline showing your events for the week
  • Helps you plan when to schedule inbox tasks

View Task Details

Each task in the Inbox shows:

  • Task title (clickable)
  • Checkbox for marking complete
  • Status badge
  • Priority badge
  • Project or list tag (colored pills)
  • Time estimate (if set)
  • Due date (if set)
  • Assignee avatar

Complete a Task

  1. Click the checkbox on the task.

The task is marked complete and moves out of the Inbox to your completed tasks history.

Open Task Details

  1. Click the task title.

The full task detail view opens.

Create a Task Quickly

  1. Click the Quick add field at the top of the Inbox.
  2. Type the task title.
  3. Press Enter.

The task appears in your Inbox.

Filter Tasks

  1. Click the filter button.
  2. Select which statuses to show (Backlog, ToDo, In Progress, In Review, and so on).
  3. Select which priority levels to show (Low, Normal, High, Urgent, Critical, Blocker).

Filters save automatically and persist between sessions.

Resize the Task List

  1. Hover over the right edge of the task list panel.
  2. Drag the resize handle to adjust the width.

The width saves automatically in your browser’s local storage.

Move Tasks to Today or Upcoming

  1. Open the task detail view.
  2. Set a start date or due date.

The task moves from the Inbox to the Today or Upcoming page.

Drag Tasks into the Inbox

Drag any task card from another view and drop it onto the Inbox panel. Mosic clears the task’s start date and due date, moving it into the Inbox.

Note: The Inbox only shows incomplete tasks. Completed tasks do not appear here regardless of their dates.

Troubleshooting

No tasks appear in the Inbox

Verify that:

  • You have tasks assigned to you without dates
  • The correct workspace is selected
  • Active filters are not hiding tasks

Inbox count doesn’t match

Possible reasons:

  • Active filters are hiding tasks — check the filter button
  • Tasks in other workspaces may not be visible — verify your workspace selection
  • Recently completed tasks may still be loading

Refresh the page to see updated counts.

Empty state: “No tasks in inbox”

Add a task using the quick add field or drag a task from another view into the Inbox.
